ARTISTIC BACKGROUND

Anne-Mie Gers was raised in a deeply artistic environment. Her mother was an actress and her father a

set designer, and the home was shared with other creative professionals from theatre, illustration, and

costume design. Growing up among ateliers, materials, and constant artistic activity, creativity became an

inseparable part of her identity. Her bed quite literally stood inside a studio — creation is not something

she learned, but something she simply is.

She works with lime, clay, texture, and found materials, often enriched with pigments taken from her daily

life as a decorator. Her work blends raw matter with intuitive composition, rooted in both craft and emotion.
